I’m working with the latest version of Final Cut Pro X. I’m using the “Flashing” light effect and the “Subway Shadow” effect in an HD video. When I review them in the timeline they look great! But when I bounce them out of FCPX, there are raster lines (light and dark shaded horizontal lines) within the effect. I bounced (shared or exported) using the Apple 422 codec. Do I need to use 4444 or did I do something wrong? I tried bouncing in H.264 and that didn’t work either. I’ve used other effects before with no problems, but it seems the lighting effects are deceiving me.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

UPDATE: I just tried the 4444 codec and it didn’t help. The effects look perfect (no raster lines) when played in FCPX (even with full screen). But the bounced file always has raster lines within the generated lighting effect. So frustrating.
