    I have Vegas pro 8.1. Bought some time ago I would now like to update to version 12 but my licence beginning 1G1 is not acceptable.

    Give Sony Creative Software a call. They were easily able to find me from when I originally registered, although my Vegas software was many versions newer than yours.
