LHe full frame downconvert
Hey-
Quick question…will the LHi do an HD to NTSC downconvert that will “clip” the sides of the 16×9 frame…or as my editor puts it “downconvert full frame where the left and right “wings” of the 16:9 image are cut off to fit into the 4:3 frame completeley.”
If so what are the correct settings?

Yes. I believe the setting is called Crop in the AJA Control Panel.

FWIW, most post professionals call that “center punch” or “center extract”. That’s usually an option on most downconvert systems.
