LH Deck Control vis Firewire
All,
I just switched my LS for an LH so I could input from a Sony HDV M10u via component to DVCPro HD.(Thru the KBox)
I can’t seem to get deck control via firewire. I’ve chosen Firewire NTSC, and subsequently the other options, and it won’t intialize the deck.
I’ve tried the easy setup for both Kona LH 1080i 29.97 DVCPro HD
and also DVCPro HD 1080i60 48kHz while selecting firewire for controlThis should work , correct? I’m missing something.
I’d like to get this squared away so I can take the next step and load Studio 2.Thanks for any help
G5 2.7 dual with 4 gigs ram. FCP 5.1.4.

Quit FCP. You need to put the deck into dv mode (not hdv mode, open FCP and then change the deck control to dv ntsc in the device control tab of the log and capture window. The component outputs will remain HD, deck control will be ntsc.
