LH 4.0 driver install refuses???
I want to try the 4.0 drivers to see if this fixes my rs-422 problems before officially contacting aja.
for some odd reason 4.0 or 5.0 drivers REFUSE installation.
The error I get is:
YOU CANNOT CONTINUE, THERE IS NOTHING TO INSTALL
5.1 driver is the only one that will install.
I am not running leopard and have no future plans to.4.0 should install, I have admin rights and have successfully
uninstalled 5.1There are no conflicts according to the checker, I am running the current supported version of quicktime and os x.
any ideas?

found the problem.
I had to manually delete the 5.1 .pkg file from the \library\reciepts folder.
ridiculous.
the uninstaller should handle this like every other software/hardware driver.

Not when you are going backwards to a previous file version- you were regressing the drivers and the OS was specifically designed to prevent you from loading a prior software version on top of a newer one.

Absolutely it should. Every thing else does.
an uninstaller is made to do that….uninstall.
The black magic decklink drivers not only uninstall ALL software/drivers, but it also downgrades firmware if necessary.
The aja uninstaller should at least tell you what to do after it finishes, but it doesn’t and thats an unwarranted inconvenience.
