My basic problem is a level shift, mainly in the black levels between corrected media in Color and FCP3. It also effects the whole “vivid” look in the color of the shots, but I am assuming that is due to the black or gamma problem I am having.

Specifics are – Red media injested in native format (just the quick rewrapping of R3D files). Timeline is ProRes 4444, 23.98. AJA LHi card. MacPro 16gig ram. PCI bus connected 8Tb RAID.

After noticeing the problem I switched live (using spaces) between FCP and Color and saw the level shift between the imported sequence in FCP and the corrected sequence project in Color. I don’t remember having this problem before upgrading to FCP3, but this is my first time back in Color since, and I always used Red footage that was converted to ProRes HQ previously.

I have searched in Color and FCP forums so I appologize if I missed it, so if a post is out there just send me a link. As always thanks in advance for any help you can be.
