I just saw a Frontline documentary called “Cheney’s Law” that used a lot of CG generated papers and text on the paper. It looked like the text had an effect to make it look typed and uneven on the paper and the paper had a beautiful aged texture look to it. The paper looked real with uneven shades of yellow, white and light brown. Anyone know how was this done?

    Thanks,
    Eric

The background is often just a photo of beautiful paper or a construct.
Typing is easily accomplished, just look for “type on” in the AE help system.
Chosing a good typewriter typeface is often more important than the rest of the simulation. You got a few with your system. You may need to decay them to make them look like they’re typed and not flawless digital representations. The best typewriter collections have multiple versions of several letters that appear randomly.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
