I am using a Sony Z1U and shooting in DV, not HDV. I use easy setup DVNTSC in FCP.
The sequence setting defaults to DV 3:2. I cannot get a 4:3 frame, everything in the canvas is letterbox. I cannot get a 4:3 frame anymore. If I change the sequence setting to 4:3 it is still letterbox. I cannot stretch it to work, that distorts the shot too much. thanks for the help.

Does the Z1 let you shoot DV in 4:3, or does it only shoot in widescreen?

    All the best,

    Tom
