Back in March I bought an HVX200 with the “free 8gb p2 card” deal. I was a big crybaby about the absolute lack of availability of 8gb cards and had to order the free p2 card instead of it coming with the camera. Jeremy hooked me up with Fletcher out of Chicago who was able to get me a card, the day we started shooting, saving my whiney butt.

Shortly thereafter NAB announced the 16gb cards and a price reduction to boot. Surprisingly, Fletcher emailed me a check 6 weeks after the fact reflecting the price difference in the 8gb cards once the 16’s came out. Cool #1.

    Cool #2

Well, today I got a package from panny apologizing for the delay. and then announcing they’d be upgrading my card to a 16gb, once they have them in stock.

I’m sortof used to the apple way, meaning, you buy something and it gets upgraded the next day, well that’s life. It’s nice to see Panny making up the delays to customers. Never expected that to happen…and I got an awesome camera, to boot. Cool #3.

    Just thought I’d share.
