Moving the timeline? I don’t think so. You can’t move a clip or make a video adjustment less than one frame. You can trim the audio within a frame, or mark In points on audio to within a frame by holding the Shift key and dragging the playhead to slip the audio on video.

    All the best,

    Tom

    Tom is correct

you cannot move the video in fcp in increments of less than one frame

what are you trying to do? or have you tried changing the field order?

    Hi Tom ,
    Thanks for the response.
I did find a Post by David Weiss that talks about sub-frames (Page 308 in the FCP online users manual)
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/994247#994291

However there was another post that had a different and simpler way to move/cut Less then 1 frame that I can’t find.

    Again Thanks,

    John

    Hi Gary,

I am trying to sync the Audio to the Video (Extreme Close Up) And a 1 frame adjustment is not close enough.

The Audio and Video are from different cameras and a Digital Audio Recorder.

It only makes a difference on the short clips of the ECU Shots.

    Thanks,

    John

    Right.
Sub-frame editing is only for audio.

Mench’s method is what I thought of when I read the first post. Helped me plenty O times.
    Thanks Capt.
