I have installed in my MBP, Leopard 10.5.2, QT 7.4.1 and FC 6.0.2
Software up-date tells me to install the “Leopard Graphic Up-date.
    Is recommendable?
I’ve read a lot of complains about.

    Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
    G5 2x2Gh 4GbRAM-BlackMagic Extreme
    PMBP 17″Core2Duo 4GbRAM-AJA ioHD
    JVC DTV-17″
    SONY EX-1 . SONY PD170
..and always a big mess on top of the table.

Is Leopard 10.5.2 OK to install yet? There was a lot of talk about not upgrading to 10.5 with FCP 6.0.2 as there was too many problems.

It all works fine on my 8-core. I have all the updates.

working fine here Rafael … the Graphic Update is required if you have a newer MBP and a Matrox MXO. if you have any plans to use such a combo then you must do the update first.

    Hi Andy,
Thanks for the info. I bought an EX-1 and I’m waiting for an AJA ioHD to arrive. I’m trying to set my MBP to work with this stuff (Leopard, QT and FC are working fine) but I’ve read of some really bad experiences when installing the Graphic Update . I was a bit scare. I’ll let you know how things go.

As a general rule of thumb, ALWAYS clone your system drive before applying any updates. Drives are cheap, your time is not.

Use a copy of Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your drive.
