Leopard fresh install and keeping all my Mail
I am getting ready to update the laptop to Leopard and a fresh install is the way I do things.
I have successfully kept my mail through the Tiger years, and was wondering if I install Leopard, can I just move all the necessary files from my backup drive to the new Leopard install?
I have years of emails and tens of thousands of emails to keep. I don’t want them going away as I frequently search my old emails for reference. Sometimes it’s fun to go back and read a few. It’s a scrapbook of sorts.
So, can I do this successfully? With a new install of Tiger, I’d simply drag over my mailboxes and preferences, and Mail would be back up and running in no time with all my rules, sigs, and most importantly the swath of a scrapbook I have accumulated over the years in tact.
