    Hi,

    I am on a Quad-Core 2 x 2.26 with 6 GB RAM running 10.5.8

My version of FCP is 6.0.6 with a Kona LHe 7.1

I’ve upgraded the system this studio in October from a Dual core 2 x 3, 4 GB RAM, running Tiger with the same Card.

My first subjective perception was that there was not much of a performance enhancement, I was disapointed but kept on going.

I’m presently finishing off a 20min. show in DVCProHD 1080i And I cant even get one realtime stream with a color corrector.

I know I’m behind one version on FCP, but I would like to get some input before to help me Identify why this system is so slow.

I’m also wondering if the cause is not The NVIDIA GeForce GT120. I also have an identical system that has the Radeon. It works much better than this one, but not to the satisfaction that we expected.

Are there known issues about this?

    Thanks

    Eric

Might perform a clean install on that setup.
