I am creating a logo in AE for export to Premiere. The comp has over a dozen layers. I want a lensflare to sweep accross the logo. I can not find a way to make the lensflare look the way I want, without a background showining up in the final alpha + RGB render. I thought I had it figured out by using an adjustment layer, but the adjustment layer made the background non-transparent. I tried a pre comp, but it only made the flare appear on all of the elements. I have tried to create a flare with particles, but it did not look right. CC Light Rays did not create the affect that I was after.

How can I create a lensflare that affects all of the elements and the surrounding area on an alpha layer, and still keep it on an alpha layer?

search for unmult plugin. I cant remember where it is but it’s a free download then put your lens flare on a 100% black layer and add unmult.

Thanks! That worked great. I wonder why something like this is not included in the stock effects. I have been wanting something like this.
