    I’m in post for a short film I directed and I got the idea of having a lens shake effect similar to a scene in Fight Club (link below) anyway to do this effect in Vegas and have it look good??

    That effect was partly done by shaking the camera and partly with computer generated effects, such as the sprockets of the film showing up on screen. If you’re just using Vegas, I would think a combination of shaking the camera and using “jitter” in “Film Effects” would be a low budget version of what Fincher did in Fight Club.
