lens noises
Hi.
I just recently got into the DSLR video shooting, but I have noticed that my Rode mic, attached on hot shoe, picks up a lot of noise of the lens zooming or focusing. Is there a way to reduce this or should I just change focus less?

It’s more a question of recording sound more pro- i.e. someone holding a boom pole away from the camera or use lapel mics. Mic on top of camera is really ‘last resort’ type of sound recording and brings along all the unwanted stuff like recording the noises of the camera itself.
