    Hi

I’m trying to fly past a light onto which I’ve attached a lens effect, but the size of the flare does not seem dependent on the distance from it. Obviously, I could replace the flare with a visible light setting, but that isn’t as ‘artistic’ as a post-effect flare.
I could keyframe the brightness of the flare manually, but is there a better way?

    Many thanks in advance

    Graham

Xpresso has a couple ways to do this. I dont have time to post any files but if you drag the light with the effects into the xpresso editor you can set the FX glow brightness to something like the camera a better way is using FX fade to approaching object but that involves a little more effort.

check off Glow Distance Scale in the Light Object’s Lens tab (and possibly Reflex Distance Scale if you are using Reflex)
