    What do you want the expression to do?

    i want the flare to shine in a lively manner, to sparkle, little shifts of brightness on each frame.

    You might play around with either of these:

    random(90,100)

    or,

    wiggle(1/thisComp.frameDuration,10)

    Hi Dan
    It works!
    Thank you for responding so fast.
    By the way, I tried the expression “random (90,100)” on the position of the flare (on its center) but it doesn’t work, it sais “expression resault must be of dimension 2, not 1″… do you know why that is?
    Thanks again

    Try this:

    X = random(5,300);
    Y = random(5,300);
    [X,Y]

    that’s one way, generatates a real rapid shaking. For a more organic look, just use wiggle in the location:

    wiggle(3,200)
