Lens flare disappears when I render ???
System: Avid Adrenaline on an xw8200
I built a sequence and the client wanted to extend a lens flare I had placed in it. Well, I extended the previously working effect and now, no matter what I try, once I render it the effect is no longer there…
Some of the things I’ve tried:
1. Mixdown then apply fx
2. Collapsed fx
3. Rebuilding that section with using the base master clip and adding the lens flare. (this one is very odd because the same problem still applies here)
4. Creating new project and opening sequence bin
5. Exporting that section of the sequence and reimporting it as a .mov then applying the lens flare.Nothing seems to work. No matter what, once I render the effect, it dissapears. I also can’t expert render that section, so I then MUST render that specific effect in order for it to play. Of course, the problem then is that the effect doesn’t play…
This seems to be a lens flare specific problem because it will let me render other fx like film burn or whatever…
Any ideas??? Thanks!

I have had some similar weirdnesses. One thing to try is to enable the keyframe editor in the effects window which promotes the effect. Sometimes that will jog it loose.
I assume this is BCC? That is where I run into it.
