    Greetings all!

I have an older project that used the Lens Blur effect. Is there a way to locate and replace that effect with the Camera Lens Blur effect?

    Thanks.

Is your problem finding the layer on which you applied the effect or matching the values to get the same result? It’s not clear.

    Thanks for the reply Leopy!

The project is a purchased template that was created with an earlier version of AE which had Lens Blur.
Subsequent AE version replaced Lens Blur with Camera Lens Blur. Upon loading the project a warning saying there is a reference to a missing affect, “Lens Blur” and to reload the effect. Lens Blur however is not available any longer.

it’s a bit of manual labor here. in the project panel look for missing effects.

then it will only show compositions where you have a missing effect.
in the composition panel do the same thing in the search window.

and it will only show missing instances of the effect in this compositions. you would then have to add the camera lens blur effect and match the settings as much as you can.
