Has anyone ever messed with the lens adjustment pots on the grip of the lens? I have never felt the need to go into there, but I am guessing that they will help fine-tune a lens that is out of spec.

I have a lens that is not closing down all the way in auto mode, wondering if there is an adjustment that will help alleviate this. It has been suggested that there is a problem with the servo, but I would doubt that is the case. Any thoughts? I can’t take the lens to a shop just yet, this has to be a field fix.

The lens is a Nikon 9×5.5.

Another issue seems to be that the zoom calculation in the viewfinder is off… never experienced that before but it reads only between 90 and 53 rather than 0-100%. Anyone know what can cause this and how to remedy it?
