I am looking for a way to place a TC Generator along an entire film without nesting the sequence and can’t seem to figured out how. I would love to just use the effect on a slug or something like that but I cant seem to make a slug longer than 2 minutes in length. In Avid you would just apply the effect to the track above. Is there even a way? Thanks in advance.

Put the slug on your timeline, edit it in the viewer and then manually enter the length to be 1:00:00:00 or whatever you’d like.

You’ll then be able to pull the handle out as far as you need to. Works for me anyhow.

I placed the slug in my timeline and edited the length in the box above and to the left of the timeline. It did not work for me — is there another place where the length might be controlled. BTW I/ noticed that other inserts like pictures were behaving in the same way. I went to my user preferences and extended the length for inserted pictures.

    Any suggestions? Thank you,

    Sara
