I just recorded a Dance Recital and selling the DVDs directly to the participants.

What legal contracts should I have between me and the owner of the dance studio? Who owns the rights to the video?

Is there a place to get generic forms? How has anybody tweeked them?

How should I set up this type of transaction for future clients?

Unless it is otherwise stated in writing, you own all rights to your production. See https://www.copyright.gov for more information.

You need to make sure music copyright issues are addressed as you are, in effect, making a recording that involves copyright music. Even ambient music is protected!
