Legacy Text not letting me type/change fonts?
I’ve downloaded a lot of fonts that are much to my liking, but they do not work with Titles & Text. I’ve tried using Legacy Text because I know all fonts are supposed to work on there. However, when I type something, it won’t appear on screen. If I leave it as is (just leaving it as Sample Text), it will stay onscreen. However, if i type something in, it doesn’t show up in the preview. Changing the font makes the text go weird, also. I use Sony Vegas 11 with Wine, I use a Mac. Can I put pictures in the post? I’m new to creativeCow, but thanks for any help!

Legacy text suppose to see all fonts, so if you are having problems,
that means something is wrong with those fonts you have downloaded.Can you see and type properly using those fonts in any other software,

The font could be corrupt There are a lot of corrupt fonts on download sites. I’ve had some fonts simply not work at all. There is nothing you can do about it except try and find it on another site or find a similar font.

That could be your problem. Wine is an emulator and as such cannot provide 100% compatibility. I would use VMware Fusion, or Parallels Desktop, or VirtualBox to run Vegas Pro in “real” Windows on a Mac.

ohhh, just realized you mentioned you are using Wine on a Mac, but im
not familiar with that architecture to say if that’s the cause of the problem!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
