LED countdown clock effect?
Apologies for the cross-post.
Trying to come up with an effect for a client. He wants an LED-like timer counting down.
The best I’ve come up with so far is the Time Code Generator filter in FCP cropped and keyed (and running backwards). It’s okay, except that I’d prefer an LED type font and I don’t think I can change the font in this font.
Before I am reduced to shooting the display on my BetaSX deck, I thought I’d ask if anyone knew of an AE effect or FCP plug-in that will do what I need.

funny, i just helped this other guy out with the *exact* same thing.
i have such a plugin in my free pack (see homepage). i’m working on a new version right now so let me know if there’s anything missing and i’ll try and add it. there are plenty of led display fonts out there. many of them free. just look around.

Probably the other guy I referred to you the other day! BTW, I looooove your windblur cross! Now, if only I could adjust the angle of the blur…

haha, thanks. unfortunately the wind blur cross only works in two directions due to fxscript limitations, but i’ve been looking into it. render times were really bad back in the 1.2/g3/192mb days but maybe today it’s not so bad anymore.

Hey guys,
I had a problem when using the TMTS clock plugin with a certain font. The font is called Foundry Monoline and when I use it on the countdown, it flickers uncontrollably. It seems to work fine with all native FCP fonts. Is there something I can do fix this?
