Learning all the Effects
So I’ve got AE 7 and a million effects. Where is the (thorough) documentation on these? The AE Help file isn’t always helpful. For example, where can I find out how-tos on all the CC effects? And better particle generator info? It would sure be nice to put in “smoke” in AE Help and get some links on how to generate it with the particle generators.
Perhaps I’m just not looking in the right places?

To find documentation on the AE effects, choose Help > Effects Help.
For the Cycore effects, there’s a manual on the install CD.
As for tutorials for how to make smoke or such, have you tried Google? I’m sure there’s more than a few out there. There’s also the “Tutorials and Reviews” link at the top of this page. The Cow/Calf has a lot of AE tutorials, though I don’t know if this type of thing is specifically covered.

No, I haven’t tried googling something like that, but that’s a good idea. I’ll look into it.
And I checked the install CD for CC documentation, but I didn’t see any. I’ll check again. -
The Cycore manual should be in the same place as the installer.
