Le Ripple
Friends,
Got Borris Ripple under control, just wondering if anyone out there has any clues
on this one:I would like to omitt a ripple from a certain shape… lets say Australia…
to omitt the lines out from australia as if it was the ripple itself…
you know instead of circle omission… the shape of australia…Any Ideas?

Great idea … however the current ripple does not offer the option of a custom shape for the ripples. I’ll add it to our internal feature request database though to see if this is something that we can add to the product.

I would use displacement map…
I made a quick, down and dirty .red if you want to email me off list; I’ll send it to you.
Displacement Map is a great and powerful filter once you get the theory of it.
I found a map of Australia online, cut out an alpha, made a white fill of Australia (all in Photoshop); imported that .psd into RED and used desplacement map…
