Activity Forums Adobe After Effects LCD or CRT?

    If you really mean editing only, a average LCD is quite ok. If you mean to do compositing a more highendish LCD is a must and a CRT is also good. For serious color correction/ color matching tasks a CRT is still better due to the higher color dynamics.

    I’m not disgareeing with Mylenium’s distinctions, but I personally prefer CRT for everything because I don’t like the fact that my images look different from every slightly different angle that i look at the monitor…especially things like color, contrast, etc. That said, I think it boils down to personal preference so get what you like. Just my 2 cents…hope it helps.
