ok so ive found this anoying problem. lets say i have three video tracks in sony vegas 8.0 pro and i want to add a grungy texture to it i so on 2 of my layers i have the base track(that i want to add a texture to) and my texture track so i put an image on the second track then chose the multiply compositting mode. but now for the rest of my video a have multiply above my whole video how can i have the multiply effect for a little while then get rid of it for the rest of the video????

Why don’t you use seperate tracks for this multiply mode effect?

Aswell as using separate tracks for the composite, make sure they are grouped as composite parent and child. this will leave the rest of your tracks as normal video
