    Hello,
I downloaded an image of a butterfly into CS 3. I made three masks, each wing and the body. Iwant to animate the wings and plan to do it by making each mask a layer and go on from there. How do I make each mask a layer so that I would have one image and can make the wing masks move?

    Thanks

If I understand correctly all you want to do is have the same image layer with duplicated with the individual parts masked out?

What I’d to is duplicate the layer 3 times and delete the unwanted masks in the corresponding layers.
If there’s a lot of masks, I use the Separate_Masks_in_Layers script from https://www.crgreen.com/aescripts/

There’s a tutorial here on the COW about animating a butterfly that might help you.
