    Hi, Im interested in animating 3D layers and think this was used in the creation of the example given.

    try to use a 2d revealing lines (any method you choose is fine) and precomp it, now use the CC Sphere effect.

    I have bought templates in the past and often, due to their construction you learn nothing. Many templates are made that way specifically.
    If they are made well you can change colours, add images but i am yet to buy a well made template and be able to deconstruct it.
