Hey Guys ! I finally decided to create this thread to get some help. I’m new to C4D and I was trying to use the Layer Shader in the Color map of the material to rotate the texture. Here are the steps:
New Material – Color – Texture: Layer – Click in the image box – Load texture – Effect – Transform – Rotate 90o.
In the viewport it looks perfect, but when I render it looks completely black. I assume I haven’t checked something… but I don’t know where it may be. I have this problem every time I use the layer regardless of the material.
My renderer is corona, but event when I switch to the C4D’s Render View they both look black.
I appreciate any help !!

Dont rotate it 90o in the layer. go to texture mode and rotate it that way. You may have rotated it off the object and dont have the tileable option on and so it dragged the image off the object. Also, make sure your scene file looks like this… main folder>tex folder, scenes saved outside tex folder. This is if you are using your own wood texture instead of the built in wood texture
