layer markers to shot numbers
I have a 20 minute video in a comp (one layer) with layer markers placed on each edit in the piece (via Magnum Edit Detector, thank you!)
I would like to have shot numbers (text overlay) assigned to each layer marker. So the shot number advances with each marker.
Is there any expression, or script to do this?

You might be able to adapt the expression I wrote for someone in the Hockey Scoreboard Overlay thread [link]. Your use is a little different, but the idea is the same — increment an on-screen counter at each layer marker.
