Layer Glitch
Using Photoshop CC 2019 on Windows 7 Ultimate
Have a fairly large image file (4000 x 2350 pixels @ 72 ppi). It only contains a few layers. One layer is a placed jpeg and the others are above it that I paint on. So it is important that they stay lined up.
When I close the file and reopen it later, often times one of the layers will be nudged a couple of pixels. Typically it will be nudged down and to the right, but it has moved in all directions. Since I’m trying to keep the layers aligned, this unexpected nudging is concerning. I can’t think of any workflow steps I’m doing to cause this. It always happens after closing and opening the file, not while I’m working.
I have fixed the problem by locking the position, a step I should have taken before this happened so many times. I’m just wondering if this is a glitch that has been reported before and if it is possibly a symptom of some issue that I’m not aware of.
