I’m trying to track and composite a drawing onto a piece of paper and my camera has shallow depth of field. I need to be able to animate how much of the drawing is in focus and how much is out. Any ideas?

I think a greyscale image used in conjunction with the LensBlur effect may be easier to set up while allowing for more creative options.

In this movie, I show how to use a greyscale depth map like Roland describes with the Camera Lens Blur effect.
