Layer focus
Hello Creative Cattle! Not sure if this is possible, but here goes.
In Motion, is there a way to keep a 3d layer in focus no matter how close you place the camera to it?
Here’s the effect I’m trying to get to: start in close on what looks like a still image of a family eating dinner. The camera pulls out to reveal that this image is just one of dozens, hundreds! of family photos woven together into a mosaic of images.
So my thought is to simply create a camera, get in really tight on one of the many photos in this mosaic and then keyframe the camera back through Z-space to reveal the entire mosaic. But, of course, the closer I move my camera to the layer, the more out of focus it becomes. Thoughts???

As long as you don’t have depth of field enabled, everything is in focus all the time.
If you get very close to an image, it will still be in focus, but it will begin to pixelate because you are essentially scaling it over 100%, perhaps that is what you are seeing. In that case, you need to start with an image of higher resolution.
