Layer Disappears during Render, but not during Ram Preview
Posted by Bob Tanner on November 18, 2011 at 5:58 amI’m exporting a composition and it plays back fine on RAM Preview, but when I export, one of the layers just disappears after 5 seconds when it’s supposed to stay in for 7 seconds… Anyone know what might be causing that?
Thanks,

November 18, 2011 at 3:06 pmHard to say without looking at the project. However, there is a workaround: Set your comp to full-quality everything (full resolution, motion blur and frame blending enabled, etc), then press command/control with the Numeric 0 key to RAM preview — once the RAM preview is complete it will prompt you for a place to save the file. Then it will write an uncompressed (Animation codec) movie directly from the RAM.
Of course, this is a temp fix, but sometimes for smaller projects it can get you through.
Good luck!

March 6, 2015 at 6:03 pmHi,
I had the same exact problem, Googled it and found this thread. In my comp the affected layer was a graphic I had on top of an iphone graphic layer. They layers were in the same z-space. I disabled motion blur for both layers and my comp rendered fine. Not sure how to fix if you need motion blur. Will share if I find out.
