I recently completed an project that was 4.3 gigs in size. This project fit on one standard DVD, but what would’ve happened if it was larger didn’t fit? Is there something in Vegas Pro 8 or DVD Architect 5.0 that alerts you to this or do you have to recognize the problem and render the project in more than one file and burn separate disks?

DVD Architect will tell yo uthat it’s too large and that the file will have to be recompressed.
You don’t want to that though as Vegs is much better at making a file smaller.
Typically, if your video is more than 70 min. long, you’ll need to use a bitrate calculator and create a custom setting for the video.
I gave a few links on how to do this in this thread.

If it was a bit larger you would be prompted about it
in DVD Architect….and have the option to compress it to
fit the disc, but obviously with the expense of quality loss.
