  large files and tremendously slow open times

  Hi,
  We are currently working on a series of projects and the lag time for premiere to open is drastic. Each project has a timeline of approx 5 minutes. The files for each project are about 8-12 gbs’ of data. We are using META SAN. Our SAN has approx 4.5 TB’s of 12 TB’s used. When we open the Premiere Project, it literally takes approx 6-8 minutes to just open. Does anyone have any idea what I might do to fix this? I dread the idea of asking the client to wait 20 minutes to listen to 2 mixes? Any thoughts would be great.
