I downloaded the trial version of Vegas Movie Studio HD 10, and I open a 5-6GB file and check the audio, and after around 1 hour of the 2-3 hour video, where-ever I click after 1 hours, the audio repeats from a different part of the video. Like it repeats the same audio over and over, every time I click a part of the video over 1 hour. The “audio lines” are correct, but the audio coming out after 1 hour is all wrong!

Is this normal with HUGE files?

Is there a fix for this? And the audio is not out of sync, like half of the audio is lost when I open it. Also, it’s not the files fault. When I just play the video on Windows Media Player, the audio is all in sync and all there, but when I try to edit it in Vegas Movie Studio HD 10 trial version, it’s all messed up!

My best guess is that big files are very glitchy in Vegas Movie Studio HD…

What is the format of the audio file? WAV is the best format to edit. You might want to let Sony know since this is a new release of Movie Studio you may have found a bug.

Thanks for the response :]. The video was in MP4, and how would I let Sony know? I’m not sure how to contact them, thanks

I would start with the Technical Support page on their web site which will allow you, among other things, to email them directly.

I was wondering if you ever found the solution to this problem? I am having the exact same issue and have spent the past WEEK trying to figure this out searching the internet. I have tried every version of vegas from 8 to 10, all the different quicktime versions (from newest to oldest) and every codec I can get my hands on!

This is the only post that I found in the past week that mentions my exact problem anywhere.

    Thanks!
