Sorry here too … guess irony doesn’t translate too well on the web … 🙂

But you have made me think about dual-booting and reviving some of my more useful Windows apps. Hmm …

Treat yourself to a 17inch macbook pro. You will not be disappointed. In a word – Sexy. In another word – Fast.

Does anyone know of any other uncompressed SD/HD pro res or similar capture solutions for a MacBook Pro, other than IOHD? (

I think a new Quad would smoke a Macbook pro in terms of speed.

I reckon Macbooks are awesome for small video jobs, but once things get hairy it’s time to turn to the desktops. Especially for the 3D stuff.

My thoughts aswell…it’d just be nice to have one though! I might try buy a secondhand Intel MacBook to run AE, etc when I’m on the move…can’t be any slower than this rubbish desktop I’m on at work! (See my sig..)

Take into consideration how much ram you can throw in one.

The new Macbook Slows can take 4 gigs. That is A LOT for a laptop. The core 2’s that are in them are snappy too, and you can upgrade to a 2.6 now, which is pretty snappy. I have a first gen with bootcamp on it, and I couldn’t be happier. However, when it comes to rendering, you def. want either:

    a. Nucleo
    b. A tower
    c. Nucleo on a tower

Also, to play the true devil’s advocate, check this out:
