Laptop Suggestions for H.264 PRO
Has anyone had ANY success with a laptop and the H.264 Pro? I have a new dual core with recommended ram and OS and the laptop drops frames. I am trying it on my Hexacore workstation and it is STILL using 27-35% CPU power….I must say this is perplexing. Again, any suggestions would be helpful before I return the H.264…thanks is advance!

Hello Scott,
I am running it on a HP Compaq 6710b (KE121ET),
see https://www.laptopshop.nl/product/52826/hp-compaq-6710b-ke121et.html#product_specifications, it is in Dutch but the specs are international,
this one is with a dual core, Vista 32 bits,
strangely no preview, but the recordings are OK, only @ 1080p50 still gives missing frames,with kind regards,

do you run it with the last software version?
Media express 3 has a much lower CPU-usage than the 2.3 versionwith kind regards,
