    Hey everyone

I’ve just been struggling with an AE comp, which wouldn’t even allow me to scrub the timeline properly.

Eventually, I realised the nly thing I was doing differently was using some screen capture videos encoded with the Largarith codec. I;ve been using this for a while now, especially with Particle Illusion, but never noticed a problem before.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Theres a number of factors that could be at work here. Do you have the ‘null frames’ option enabled in Lagarith? With screen captures especially, there might be a lot of null frames with that option enabled, and After Effects might not know how to handle them properly.

Also, could it be that you are using a higher resolution video than normal? Your pc might just be having some trouble playing it back if thats the case.

Null frames, I bet that’s it! Previously I’ve imported screen captures as flash files, but this time I’d wanted to edit them in Premiere first.

Thanks for the suggestion Alan, I’ll check that out
