    Hello,
I have a LaCie d2 1 TB External hard drive with a Final Cut Pro project on it. I’ve been working with this drive for about 5 months now. We need to finish this project by Sunday!
This morning when I tried to open the project the FCP opens just fine but the drive startsbuzzing and clicking and can’t mount the project.
I can see all of my media icons on the drive and it mounts to desktop just fine. I erased some old files off the disk with no problems. But wheh I try to play some of my quicktimes form the disk they also won’t open.
I even tried opening the project from my desktop and then reconnecting the media from the disk. It appeared to reconnect but when I tried to play my sequence it was black and there were horrible clicking and buzzing sounds.
I ran disk utility and it said everything looked fine.
I have heard Drive Genius is a good way to repair disks.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Meg

Diskwarrior is the best for disk utilities. I had a problem with a Lacie once and called them…they said the clicking and what-not indicated the power supply was bad. The sent me a new one (free) and now it works great! Check that out. Hope it helps.

A friend of mine had the power supply issue too. LaCie sent her a new one as well and she’s back in business.
