LaCie ext sata drive

Anyone have any experience with the new ext sata PCI-x or PCI-e drive. I’m considering adding storage and ran across this on their website.

Anything from LaCie is a gamble. I am an editing tech and I have seen lots of LaCie drives die for no reason at all. I would look at the G-Tech drives.

Thanks for the info. I know LaCies run VERY hot. I have the G-Tech at work and other than replacing the bad switch It works very quiet and cool. No problems since then.
