December 6, 2005 at 8:54 pmMichael, where did you buy your G-Tech drives from? It seems that we don’t have any reseller here in Quebec.

That is the question of the decade. There are two resellers here in Toronto but they rarely have stock and know little about the product. I would recommend Terry at the DVshop here in Toronto, http://www.dvshop.ca He gets them in regularly.
Hope that helps

December 7, 2005 at 8:35 amI had 6 Lacie drives go bad in the last year, so ad me to the Lacie failure rate. Bottom line, Lacie figures the number of failures is within spec and will replace them and move on. They sell thousands of drives around the world and the few people that speak up about their failures doesn’t even make a dent in their bottom line. So vote with your wallet and buy another product!
Anyone want to buy my lacie drives 🙂

December 8, 2005 at 6:56 pmI’ll be honest – had I known someone from LaCie was active on this board, I would have been more polite about it. I feel like a jerk and I apologize. I will say that their customer service is good. But my personal experience with the products has been exceptionally bad.
