Lacie 500GB Extreme problem

Well I have a room full of old fw400 drives which have their own unique tales of failure. Why would I buy the LaCie fw800 only to have to use it as a fw400? Undependable is undependable and support that responds in 3 days with already tried repairs is not really support. But hey the things worked for 9 months anyway. I guess we have to just start thinking of these things as disposable. Use em for a couple of projects and then throw em away.

Did you call them? They’ve been great to work with on my end and have been there with support when needed.
