I just purchased C4D 9.5 and I am workign through the tuts right now. I was wondering how I can apply to texture maps to 1 object. I have created a simple wine bottle and I want to add a lable created from photoshop. I am upgrading from Hash Animation where this was a simple thing to do. It seems more complex in C4D

    Any insight would be great.

    1. Create a selection of polygons on the wine bottle where you want your label
    2. ‘Set selection’ (in the selection menu) and give your selection a name eg ‘label’
    3. create a new material, put your photoshop file in the color channel
    4. Apply this new material to your bottle.
    5. Click on the material in the object manager – this should bring up some options for the material including ‘selection’ (under ‘Tag’). Type the name of your polygon selection(eg label) in the selection box.

I didn’t know that feature existed, very nice. I am wondering one thing though. Will my Photoshop lable have to be the exact size of the selected polygons or can I select glass for the bottle and then pu the label on the bottle and have the outer edges of the polygons share the Glass and Lable textures?

    thanks.
