LA-No communication
I’m using an LA box w/ a UVW1800 and can not get communication in log/capture mode w. FCP 5.0.4.
I was logging, stepped away from the machine for 20 minutes and when I went back there was no communication!
The deck is in remote, there a re no other firewire connections,I have trashed preferences, I can see the video in the log/capture window if I flip the deck into mannual and play it, but I can’t control it.So the question is what is it, the LA box, the deck, the cable? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks

did you cycle power on the I/O LA, and reboot your MAC ?
I am always amazed at the miracle cures by simply cycling power, and reseating the Firewire cable.bob Zelin

I had this same problem, and your solution (power down/power up AJA box) fixed it for me. Thanks Bob!
