I made this LA Dodgers logo in illustrator. When I bring this text into cinema 4d everything is okay but when I extrude the nurbs it creates extra polygons & isn’t flat once extruded. Is there a way to clean up these extra polygons or prevent this surface distortion once extruded?

    Thanks

that looks like the phong angle to me.
I tried and did not get that result at all.

thanks for the response Randy but I get the problem after I make the object editable (C) & use the extrude tool

Randy is right — it’s the phong angle. Specifically, the phong tag for the “Cap 1” object doesn’t have angle limit checked. Thus it’s trying to smooth even the 90 degree angles in your object.
